Central General Secretary of Bangladesh Sramik Kalyan Federation Advocate Atiqure Rahman said that if the root level organization can be strong, then the leading organization will also become stronger. To strengthen the Sramik Kalyan, the root level must be the first to be strengthened. And in that case, the upazila leaders of the organization should play a special role.
He said these things as the chief guest at the upazila executive member conference 2022, organized by Meherpur district of Bangladesh’s Sramik Kalyan Federation today. Under the chairmanship of Federation District President Abdur Rauf Mukul and moderated by General Secretary Sakil Hossain Sabbir, the presence of special guests were Chief Advisor of Federation District Maulana Tajuddin Khan, Jessore-Kushtia Region Director Idris Ali, and Assistant Director Moshiur Rahman.
Atiqur Rahman said, “We work for the welfare of laborers in the world and hereafter. Our ideal is Islam. We believe that it is possible to ensure the welfare of working people in this world and liberation in the hereafter through the implementation of Islamic labor policy. The problems of the labor force will be solved just the day the Islamic labor policy is implemented in our country. Laborers will get back all their rights. All disputes between owners and laborers will be resolved. To implement Islamic labor policy, we need to gather up the majority of laborers under the banner of a movement. First of all, the invitation of Islamic labor policy should be conveyed to the labor brothers and sisters. Upazila leaders have to play a leading role to bring them under the blessing of truth.
He also said that the laborers of our country are being cheated and that in the name of the so-called labor liberation movement, a class of leaders are deceiving them. We should break the trend of this dishonest leadership. Ideological leadership must be established in the labor arena for the desired emancipation of the workers, where they will rush to wherever labor problems arise. They will raise their voices for honesty and justice to solve problems by ignoring the bloody eyes of the owners. They have to be brave enough to ensure the rightful demands for labor.
